What *is* it with little boy clothes, anyway?

I mean, is “Future Gang Members of America” the look right now?  Seriously?

And why do I have no problems letting my girls wear pink but balk at sports themes for the boy?

  1. Because you don’t want to pidgeonhole your kids before they’re even born.  (Turning them into Lil’ Red Sox fans would be okay, though).

  2. As my aunt put it (who had 2 boys that grew 6 inches and gained 40 pounds in TWO months), the “gangster” fashions of wearing clothes too big saves money in the end.  You don’t have to buy clothes as often because they can wear the same size at any weight.
