I tested this as soon as I read it, and indeed it’s true.  Is it the worst thing they could do?  No.  Is it screwing with the natural order of the Internet much the way Comcast does when they modify packet headers?  Yes.

They tell you how to change it if you follow a link on the search page in question, but it really shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
