Waking Up Is Hard To Do
They say that waking up is hard to do, after the baby, I know that it’s true…
It was all I could do to stay awak past 8:00 last night. When I woke up at 6:30 and would normally have stayed awake, I felt pretty much identical to when I collapsed into bed. At least after almost an hour and a half more, the edge is off of it. I don’t remember it being so bad after the others. I was so bad last night that I couldn’t bring myself to cook. We got pizza, which is conveniently located right beside CVS, so I filled Deb’s prescription at the same time. Deb’s mother now understands the popularity of Papa Ginos.
Poor Deb. She’s healing and having to wake to nurse on top of it. Luckily he’s a good sleeper so far. It seems to have made him happy to leave the hospital.
The other two are sitting here playing with a dead old computer speaker, which has the innards accessible since the front fell off. Sadie gifted me with a green LED, legs intact, that she managed to extract from it. They both find something like this and other found objects far more interesting than their massive collection of things that are intended as toys.
I should really have some coffee. Then do some of the mass quantities of stuff I have before me to do, once I am a bit more awake.
For some reason, I think it’s a “3rd Kid” kind of thing, the extreme tiredness. I mean I remember being tired with Emily and Katherine but, I was barely functioning with Julia. It gets better though as your body gets used to it!
Ryun and I have said to each other many times, why do we even bother buying actual toys when they are just as content to play with empty boxes, old cell phones and other randome household things.
