Unnatural Talent

At the risk of jinxing myself…

I have some whole nutmegs my stepmother gave me, and I think they really do make a difference.

Obviously they have to be grated when needed.  I somehow always manage to grate exactly the amount needed.  Last night I needed a teaspoon.  I grated away on the box grater, in the bowl I was going to use for dry ingredients, then coaxed it into the measuring spoon.  It was exactly right… again.

That’s so strange.
