Today

I am most of the way through the next and biggest segment of my experience series, and eager to finish it.  However, first I have to finish the taxes.  I did the federal yesterday and just have to do the state.  Incidentally, the federal child credit rocks.  I made what could be called “real money,” (about 26k shy of what we really need, but still real) and the credit reduced the non-social security part of the taxes by almost 83%.  It’s great that I don’t have to mail them until tomorrow, but…

I never mailed the partnership returns, and the federal goes to Cincinatti and must be mailed today.  Doh.  No problem, right?  Take them down the road half a mile or so, mail them, come back.

Ah, but they seem to be not in my briefcase.  That means they are at the office and I have to go there.  Doh!  This wouldn’t be so bad, but the weather is absolutely miserable.

My alternative would be to print a new copy of questionable quality from the PDF I made by borrowing the client’s Digital Sender, then mail them right down the street.  Hmmm… Perhaps I should test and see how well they come out of the printer.

Anyway, blogging will resume after tax stuff is out of the way.  I’m also working on business card ideas and stuff, but that and the experience posts help feed each other.
