Thoughts?

I was going to get some fancy design done for the new business and launch with spiffy business cards, web site and flier/brochure kind of thing.

Lack of cash and the need to get word out and about to some degree ASAP have conspired to make me think I might create a basic business card that says what it needs to say, an adequate web site that does the same, and hold off the fliers or do something simple I can print myself for the word-of-mouth targets I plan to hit first (the employees of my big client).

Then as soon later as I can, get the spiffy design and hand them out again.

Besides the benefit of launching quickly with the simple stuff, I’m thinking it gives me an excuse to hand out material a second time to the same people, adding emphasis.

Does that make sense?  Or is it worse to start with something less polished rather than making a big splash?

  1. don’t cut out the polish, just the flash.  Simple but classy is ALWAYS good!
