The whole world smells good today.

It’s that sweet fall air.  Have I mentioned how ridiculously freaking beautiful it is here this time of year?  Seriously, I think I put up with the rest of the weather more cheerfully because it doesn’t get any more insanely perfect than this.  It’s just amazing.

In honor of autumn, though, instead of going out and enjoying the day I’m starting on this year’s grand window sealing project.  It’s me and the Mortite today, working over the windows that don’t need to be opened now that the weather’s cool enough that one window in each room is plenty to have available.  Once they’re caulked I’ll start placing the tape for the shrink film stuff, which we can do once we get a hairdryer to shrink it with.  Eventually we’ll be down to the bathroom, one kitchen window, and possibly one in another room that will be open-able in the event of a cooking disaster.

I have declared war on the gas bill.

Well, that and I freaking hate being cold.  But seriously, having money left over to buy food?  It’s a Good Thing, Martha.

  1. Congrats on getting that plastic up on the windows. I always hated doing that. The fall is gorgeous this year, huh?
