Still Sick

My cold got worse over the weekend, and while it seems to have peaked Sunday, it remains.  Very annoying.

That didn’t prevent me from making my first pot roast ever yesterday.  It was astonishingly good!  Best Deb ever had, and possibly best I’ve had, but at least right up there with the best I ever had at my grandmother’s.  I also made gravy, which we’ve not traditionally had with pot roast in my family.  It was yummy too.  Apparently I have a knack.

Meat suitable for pot roast is always cheap, so knowing it’s something I can make that everyone except Sadie loves is great.  And I think Sadie is just on strike against potatoes, because we’ve had them more than two consecutive days.  She barely even ate the carrots, but Val helped her out.

We also setup the tree yesterday, settling on using the same tiny fiber optic tree we used the past two years.  It looks nice in front of the window, up out of their reach on a table/cart thing.  Sadie is all excited about the whole thing.

Anyway, looks like I may need to go to the office, sick or not.  I at least need to prepare myself for the eventuality.  It just killed my workflow to take the weekend off.  Not to mention that server problem.

1. Everybody is sick! I’m trying to decide with no help from dad, my sister or Laurie where to have Christmas. As I read you are still sick, Wayne is better but...Jackie is still sick...maybe I would be smart to stay here in VT?

   Oh well hope you all feel better soon.

2. Its a nasty thing going around.
   I’m pretty much over it though.. thankfully.
   I have to go to York Penn for a couple days next week for a job.
