Sad.
So it’s “tax free weekend” here this weekend and can I just say how much it depresses me to see people so very damned excited about getting to keep their own money? Because really, shouldn’t one’s money being one’s own be the default?
in my opinion they jack the prices up to make up for the tax free part.
Nevre used the tax free weekend. Not really worth it that much.

I don’t get all excited and run out to shop just to save my 6% (in Florida—8.25 in Texas), but I’m a fan of the idea. Neither Texas nor Florida have an income tax, and we’ve gotta pay for things somehow (in my opinion it should be a very small number of things), so sales tax is the way we do it in the non-income-tax states.
