Ribs
I’m very please with myself. I made “baked” ribs in the crockpot that tasted like my sister’s baked ribs.
It could have been more strongly flavored, and the sauce a bit thicker, but I was trying to get the basic concept, and I have eaten ones from her that tasted identical, and the sauce is usually about that thin.
One more thing accumulated that I need to post at the food blog, which has been all Hell’s Kitchen the past couple weeks. That’ll stop, after the finale tonight.
Not that I have a recipe, but I certainly have a guideline.
Deb approved. Sadie ate a good-sized serving and part of seconds. Valerie ate most of a good-sized serving, and may have had more after I gave her a little extra at the same time I refilled Sadie.
One risk I took was throwing in a clove. I made the sauce on the stove, so I had the flavor just right, subject to changing as it cooked and mixed with grease. The clove was calculated to enhance the flavor without ruining it, and apparently it at least hurt nothing.
