Peak Magma

I meant to mention the other day there was a commercial by some oil company, touting its geothermal efforts, showing a diagram of pipes going dow to magma to take advantage of the heat.

That caused me to joke that they couldn’t keep that up; what happens when we reach “peak magma”?  Plus what happens when the suck all the heat in the planet?  Oh no, global cooling!

1. There’s a simple way to replenish the magma: explode a hydrogen bomb underground.

   You can think of that as alternative method of controlled nuclear fusion.
