Not Valerie
I have a picture of my cousin Wally’s daughter Emma at 20 months old. It’s a fantastic study in where Valerie gets her appearance, as you would think they were sisters, not second cousins. Be sure to check out the other (shorter) videos on the right while you are there. They’re all absurdly cute. There are also still pictures.
Sunday I took the picture of Emma to my grandmother’s house and showed it to my mother.
Me: “Doesn’t she look like Valerie?”
Mom: “That is Valerie, isn’t it?”
Me: “Look at the back of the picture. That’s Wally’s daughter, Emma.”
You can see it in the videos, too, but the picture is uncanny. Just as there’s no mistaking that my father is Valerie’s grandfather, there’s no mistaking he’s Emma’s great uncle.
Deb finds it interesting to have a family so large you run into these kinds of resemblences.
Yes the girls are all very cute! I agree about the resemblance between them… uncanny isn’t it?
It’s that crazy Washburn/Ellis combination that runs rampant through the family. I recall a classmate (many, MANY years ago. lol) insisting that Wayne and I were brothers and not cousins.Posted by on 02/06 at 08:45 PM from
