It’s November

Which means?  We made it!  The challenge each year is to get to November without turning on the heat.  Not only have we not yet come close, but also we have had windows open most days.

I’d be jinxing us to ponder whether we could get to December, but that really would be cool.

What’s bad is we really need to seal the windows with plastic, but the kids destroy it, and take out the Moretight or whatever it’s called and use it as modeling clay or chewing gum.  Or just to line up in very straight rows of little pieces.  So the more we can delay, the better, especially if the winter is as we anticipate.

Meanwhile, I need to get batteries before Noel hits our vicinity with wind and inches of rain tomorrow, considering how much trouble they seem to have had keeping the power on lately.  Boy does that freak out Sadie.
