It’s Not Every Day…

That you have no less than three news helicopters hovering almost over your house due to something like this accident and the ensuing multi-hour, multi-mile backup.  When I first heard about it, the backup extended up multiple exits of I-495, past route 24 and up route 24 a ways.

I went home the back back way.

Besides the choppers, I also noted the state police barracks in Middleboro was mobbed with far more vehicles than normal when I drove by.  Mass convergence because… maybe if there are double the normal people there they can invesigate an hours-old accident more efficiently?  Eh… whatever.
