Insult to injury, but at least now, knowing this, I may regain some semblance of a life.

So it turns out that if her father puts Val down for a nap, she just grumps for a couple of minutes and goes to sleep, whereas if I’m involved there’s this big precise ritual involving the boobies or there’s no deal, so I can, presumably, now be elsewhere even if the baby will be sleeping soon.

Which is, like, HUGE.

And she stands up totally by herself now, and has been for a week at least.  From sitting to standing, all in fluid enough motion that one would suspect she was practicing in the womb.  She’s that good.

Now if we can just trick her into sleeping all night…
