I Hate Insomnia

It’s especially unfair when you could have slept hours ago but weren’t really free to do so.

I hate itching everywhere.  Being hot.  Being cold.  Being keenly aware that I am not suspended weightless at an ideal temperature, posture, light level and air quality, with nothing touching my skin to make me painfully aware, when I should be out cold.

I hate not being able to see the words in the book I would be reading to help me fall asleep.

I hate getting borderline to sleep and being too aware of my own thoughts or beginnings of lucid dreams to go under completely.

I hate how soon morning will be here, and that I seem to have fallen out of being able to sleep six hours and function fine, with the bonus of being the first one up.  I hate that after this nonsense, I will be sleepy during the day.

And I didn’t even overdose on caffeine or ingest it excessively late.

  1. At least I’m not the only one.  I’ve been having trouble sleeping right since coming back from Canada. The night to day shift has been really hard.
Its really bad when you get under 2 hours sleep then work from 6 am till 9:30 pm.  I should sleep tonight at least..
