Her Heart’s Fine

Poor Sadie got her first seriously skinned knee a couple days ago in just a little while playing outside.  It was her first injury that kept hurting enough to bother her, and her first experience with things like soap and even mere water stinging.

Now she’s fascinated by it, naturally.

1. Emrack got one like that while learning to crawl down carpeted stairs back when he was around Val’s age. When he headed back to the stairs 45 minutes later was my first proud papa moment.
