Happy Birthday
To my old friend from high school, Laurie Swartz.
She was instrumental in introducing me to her friend Jean.
I was instrumental in introducing her friend Jean to my friend Adam and catalyzing a bit.
Presumably Adam and Jean’s kids are happy with the outcome.
The funny thing is that before there was Laurie and the whole social domino effect, it was Adam’s sister, shortly after she married my brother, who talked me into the course of action that enabled all of the above to happen. It’s highly unlikely any of the above would have happened without Noel’s influence. It’s a crazy world. But then, probably most of them are, quantumly speaking.
Yes before there was an Internet (or at least a publicly accessible one) we had social networking down to a science.
I can’t remember the last time we saw Laurie but it has been many, many years. Last I knew she was living in East Bridgewater with her husband George.
Finally, I should mention that Noel was more of a hindrance than a help when it game to the fostering of the relationship between Jean and myself. She didn’t trust Jean and couldn’t see the relationship lasting. Hah!! How ironic indeed as we just celebrated wedding anniversary #21 and my sister is no where to be found following two failed marriages.
No, I’m not bitter.
