Golden No More
I know I had things to post about. Really. Why can’t I remember what they were?
I could always post pictures, come to think of it. I could try to remember the latest antics of the kids, like the fact that Sadie refers to the van, truck and Sentra as the van car, truck, and pretty car respectively.
I could turn something I saw elsewhere into a meme, but that would take brainpower and time.
I could write about how I need to do this or that, including telling the manager of the realty trust, who is also the manager of the former big client, that I either have to close the office at the end of the month or shrink it to less than 1/3 of the current size and cost and use it mainly for storage and a physical business address. Which will also include telling her I intend to pay the accumulated rent out of the portion of the proceeds of a specific large invoice the former client one of her other hats applies to is 50% likely never to pay, which ought to go over interestingly. In fact, my big plans for the day are to go to the store, from which I just returned, write that e-mail, and go to the office to continue some work I started yesterday. Much of the former big client’s software was still in my office, some organized and some not so much. I took part of it up to the server room yesterday, have more ready to go, and need to go through more, segregating out what is obsolete. That and the office needs massive cleaning and organizing, with stuff coming home, going to storage, being offered to the partner who doesn’t even know the big client is no more yet, being sold off, and potentially being offered to former partners in cases where it was stuff they owned personally (mainly books) and left with us. Lots of work. I think we may be participating in a well-timed yard sale that could factor in for liquidating some stuff.
Oh well. Back to work, I guess.
nothing worse than organizing. I’ve heard that if you haven’t touched it for a year or it costs less than $5 throw it out. When I do that it seems the next day I need the item I just tossed.
