$2.15!

We were at $2.18 as of end of last week, and that’s what I last paid.  Now the lowest around are $2.15, and $2.19 - $2.21 seems to be the new normal.  As always, some are more.  It’s fun to watch Karl Rove fundamental economics drive prices back to more overtly sane levels.  Of course, if you accept the Smoking Man fundamental economics as the driver downward, then you have to be aware Dick Cheney the same economics lie behind the ferocious increase in self-regulating production incentives prices that preceded the lovely decrease.

  1. if you saw the traffic out here in California this summer the price of gas really wasn’t that big a concern.
the highways were stuffed with motorhomes and SUV’s pulling boats with engines bigger than the space shuttle.  they did have some tv news stories.  one lady quit her job cause she couldn’t feed her suburban.  they had people paying $100 to fill up.
its impossible to put $100 in my 11 gallon tank. i could never afford an suv anyway.  The thing missing was in past gas price stories they always had the independent trucker that had to park because
    he couldn’t afford deisel.
