Fruit Holster Failure

I’ve had the Blackberry 7290 for about a year, and it hasn’t been used that hard, so I’m greatly disappointed that the holster is dead.  I haven’t looked at prices or whether they vary from the basic design.  I can only imagine how much it will cost for what looks like it ought to be a $2 item.

The design is clever in that it’s made to snap rather than break apart when, say, it catches in the car door when getting out.  Apparently it can only take so much of that, as it now snaps apart when I, say, bend over to get a loaf of bread from a bottom shelf in the supermarket.  It also doesn’t stay clicked into the position you put it in, but reverts immediately to pointing out the earth’s center of gravity.  It works better if it can be angled and stay that way.

Anyone have any Blackberry holster insights before I even start shopping (or deciding I can wait)?  This is a limited audience here, but who knows…
