Finally!
The cards are stamped and ready to drop in the mail. Yay! I delivered three in person today, to the big client and the two law offices that are neighbors on my floor of the building. And big fans of the kids. The other 76 go the more traditional way, in the nick of time. We included the perinatologist, who had asked us to send him a picture of Valerie after she arrived and been neglected. Since we were including him, we also included the doctor’s office and the midwives. They certainly loom large in the lives of the kids.
The breakdown changed slightly from what I initially wrote up, mainly with the addition of Arizona.
Meanwhile, our card display is growing nicely. It decorates the woodwork in the living room, supplementing the tree and stockings. Brings back memories of my grandmother’s dining room being decorated with what must have been over a hundred cards each year when I was young. People pass on. Postage costs increase. She still does pretty well, but nothing like, say, thirty years ago.
I was disappointed that the post office had no more DC Comic stamps! I fully intended to use those instead of Christmas stamps. Even if I could only have gotten one sheet, I’d have use Aquaman on the envelope to Frank and Sarah. Sheesh.
