CotC and Biz Busy
I posted the latest edition of Carnival of the Capitalists over at Geek Practitioners Blog in the wee hours, if anyone is interested.
I’ve also posted all my old XTremeblog content there. Well, most of it, leaving out the most irrelevant parts. I’ll replicate Bob’s posts there too, as he gave permission to do so when asked.
I am thinking about trying to dredge through and find appropriate posts on this blog, AV and JSV to include there as well, but we’ll see. More important that I actually start posting there regularly. I was going to fairly openly blog the business development, as well as tips, business stuff and computer stuff. Then I both got shy about aspects of it and got delayed or distracted.
The blog needs tweaking and activity, but the main site for Geek Practitioners has nothing there yet. I put a default WordPress install to have something, and may use that to create the site, even if it’s not blog-like otherwise, but we’ll see. That’s one of my next projects. Like… today. I have so much to do today, I need to make a list and start plowing through it. I did an approximate business card design and sent it to a few people for opinions Friday (mostly generating silence, and otherwise responses like “Nice, very nice").
Oops. Just heard from the big client. They are about ready to do the conversion of data and documents from the old case/document management system to the new one they start training on this week. I still have to restore some archived documents first, then it’s my job (wow, something they’re not having the interlopers do instead!) to run the conversion program.
Looks like today I will have to go do the restore, a matter of a few hours, and then later in the week I’ll run the conversion. So much for most of my laundry list.
