Brrr…

It’s strange, being cold at night.  When I woke up uncovered at 3:30, I had to put on socks to get my feet warm enough to fall back to sleep, even under a couple blankets.

Meanwhile, Sadie loves her ”new bed” and happily slept the whole night in it.  Deb’s mother woke up to Sadie grinning at her.

Actually, I didn’t think to mention that Sadie seems to have undergone another one of those advances in age.  Sitting on her bed, waiting for Deb to bring her stuff and put Valerie in bed, Sadie looked like a big kid.  She’s become able and willing to be genuinely helpful, and takes it upon herself, not always but sometimes wanted, to do stuff like prevent Valerie from getting into a pan cabinet with a broken child lock.  Of course, Sadie broke the lock by forcing the door closed (trying to help by closing it) a few days ago… And since then I have yet to find the spare cabinet locks so I can fix it.

It’s going to be funny, making them contend with another kid in the house, disrupting the dynamic duo.  Heck, it’s going to be funny when they come to the hospital to meet him.
