And Another Three Syllables…
Tonight Sadie said “Chocolate.” As close as possible at two years old, anyway.
The landlord dropped off this year’s Christmas gift today, and it was a tall box with six layers, each with five or six quality chocolates. Looks like there will be three of each variety; three sets of two layers.
They are some of the best chocolates I have ever had. Sadie certainly approved. She had one, plus about a third of one of the ones I tried.
We have great landlords. Ironic timing, too. The barrels I got for the neighbors were in the bed of the truck until I finally took them out today. I put numbers on each of them and ours, so they say 1, 2 and 3 respectively, and I stuck blow bows on the lids of the two new ones and lined them up in order. Good timing, too, as the old barrels they use are already overflowing this week. I did nothing to indicate who got the barrels, or to make clear who they were for beyond the numbering and putting them in the appropriate area. It’s quite possible anyone has yet to notice. I thought when they did they might wonder if it was the landlord’s doing, but I decided it wouldn’t take too much mental energy to figure it out.
