Amusing

In other local news, I’ve been highly amused by one aspect of the prospective Wampanoag casino in Middleboro.

At the rotary, where people like to exercise their freedom of assemply because of the high volume of traffic, each of the gatherings of people with signs favoring the casino have been huge.  Dozens of people.  Shiny, happy people, waving and holding signs.

The other day I saw my first anti-casino demonstration there.  One guy.  Not so happy looking, holding a lame sign.  Poor guy.  That would fit with the remarkably small number of signers on the petition opposed to the casino.  I’d call them small but vocal, had I not seen the demonstrations pro and co.

Of course, the casino antics provide much amusement in general.  Just ask Mumbles Menino the interloper.
