I forgot to mention the “pronounciate” thing that was so grating when Diana Ross kept saying it.  Then when she was performing on the results show, I was telling her to pronounciate.

The oldies cover of a Spiral Staircase hit was an odd choice from a “new album,” but not so much when you’re at the stage of career where it’d be perfect to settle in as a Vegas act for a few years.  Which is not an insult, just an observation, initiated by Deb.

Anyway, to backtrack, the group sing was quite good this week.  I didn’t particularly notice anyone coming across bad, and Haley seemed to be in her element, more than in the individual, unchoreographed competition performances.  The Ford commercial seemed cute but a bit busy, with so many of them and such a short duration.

Fascinating that Sanjaya and Phil were in the bottom three, and especially that Sanjaya was second from the bottom.  Not odd at all that Brandon went home.  I called it accurately.

I’ve been trying to remember who they announced as the next guest, back when they spewed the list for the entire season.  Anyone know?  I haven’t found the info yet, to know what to expect next week.
