AI Blog - Fallowness Ends Soon?

When I get a chance, I will blog about American Idol so far.  We never watched, except for snippets, the early episodes before.  It’s been interesting.  I see on the AI newsgroup that I am not the only one to have thought Donny and Marie when I saw the Indian brother and sister who were so good.

1. I’ve seen the show a few times while out-n-about.
   It’s kind-a cool.

   More Americans vote for who they want for Idol EVERY WEEK*, than vote for the President of the United States once every four years!!!!!!!!!!

2. That is hilarious. My wife and I made the “Donny and Marie” observation last night also. I didn’t realize so many others were drawing the comparison.

3. Even if they don’t make it past the first eliminations in Hollywood, those two are just bursting with potential to be hired or make a name for themselves entertainment-wise.  I’m not surprised at all that other people saw them exactly the same way.  Chagrined, maybe, as we all like to think our ideas are unique and clever, but not surprised.

   I’d love to see them get down to the 24, or the 12, and I bet TPTB would love that too.  It has the same kind of appeal the twins on Top Model had this past season, speaking of young people who are relatively open to writing their own tickets and not disappearing from the public eye for good.
