A Sign of the Times

I just filled and emptied the camera.

Most of the contents are from a series of “kids being bad” incidents.

First up when they ripped down the silver garland from the table the tree is on and started examining its properties closely.

Next up sitting gloriously in the middle of a pile of dirty laundry, helpfully removed from the hamper in favor of carpeting the bathroom floor.

Finally, just now, when I left them at my desk playing with a keybanger program.  After a while I returned, surprised at how quiet they’d been and that Valerie had not been pushed unceremoniously to the floor or something.  Valerie was standing on the desk, reaching stuff down from the highest part and helping Sadie, who was still in the chair, eviscerate an old cassette tape.  Beyond repair this time, but of course last time Sadie was alone and was discovered sooner.

The broken ornament incident was not captured for posterity because, hello, the sharp glassy stuff to get them away from instantly and clean thoroughly.  But yeah, we lost an ornament for the first time, because after all, the tree is little and up on a table out of reach.

Not necessarily those, but I may post some pictures today.  It’s been a while, and there are some good ones.

And look out world, Valerie learned in the past couple days how to climb down reasonably safely.  We thought Sadie was “a climber.” Ha!
