Jay: Frosty

While Deb is at the doctor and running to the store, I just put on Frosty the Snowman for the kids to watch.  Sadie is glued to it with a funny half-smile “this is the coolest thing ever” look.  Watching her got me all emotional.  Well, besides that it was always one of my favorites.

Indeed, I owned the Little Golden Book version long before there was ever a TV adaptation, and it’s the first book I can remember ever reading.  It’s also the source of my liking Karen as a girl’s name, to the point where it’s a possible should we someday have a third girl.

Valerie isn’t quite as entranced, but also seems to like it enough to have chilled a bit.  Mom had the audacity to leave the house, after all.
